Yorventure Appoints Angela Pease as Community Grants Officer

September 19 2006

Yorventure has recruited a new Community Grants Officer to replace Suzanne Hudson, who has been appointed Projects Manager of Red Squirrel Media (RSM).

Angela Pease, previously Grants Officer for the Leeds regional office of the Big Lottery Fund, took up her new post at Yorventure, based at the Wharfebank Business Centre in Otley, on September 7.

She will be the first point of contact for those applying for community project grants through the Landfill Communities Fund, with landfill tax credits generated by Yorwaste and Bradford Metropolitan District Council.

She will also liaise closely with all approved project representatives, monitoring progress via reporting and site visits.

Angela, 56, said: “Over the last eight years I have had extensive experience handling a caseload of more than 100 Lottery-funded projects at any time, ranging from very large short-term capital schemes, to revenue projects developing over several years.

“I have particularly enjoyed the community and environmental improvement aspect of my work and very much look forward to being able to focus on this to an even greater extent at Yorventure.”

Angela, who is married with two grown-up children, is a keen environmentalist and looks after miniature Shetland ponies and a brood of hens at her smallholding in Eccup, Leeds.
