Yorkshire Museum of Farming - £15,058
January 31 2011The project is to install a platform lift to the mezzanine floor in the Four Seasons Building, which is the main display area of the Museum. This floor is currently accessed via two wooden staircases, which create a barrier to accessing 40% of the display space for people with disabilities, older people and young families.
Some 45,000 people visit the Museum each year, together with around 2,500 school visits. New displays and activities are planned for 2011, including interactive displays for children, Second World War classroom and a Land Army Display.
