New Image for Yorventure

September 18 2006

Yorventure is launching its new brand at the end of September with a more environmental image.

Since its inception in 1997, the environmental body (EB) has used plain blue signage closely aligned to that of Yorwaste, whose landfill tax credits it uses to fund community improvement projects.

Now, in order to better reflect its interest in conservation and improved bio-diversification, the not-for-profit organisation has designed new softer branding featuring a stylised floral logo.

Community grants officer Angela Pease said: “Our original strong blue signage enabled people to closely identify us with Yorwaste, but its industrial character can look out of place in, for example, conservation areas.

“While all of our grant-funded projects are designed to improve community life, an increasing number are environmentally focussed - such as the funding of woodland improvements, nature reserves and reinforcing the eroded banks of streams.

“Ten years on, we feel we are now established enough to form our own identity with branding which better reflects the environmental aspect of our work.”

The branding, which will be used on all signage, letterheads and display stands, officially launches on September 29 - so look out for it from next month…
