Embsay Cricket Club - £23,000
January 25 2011The grant will contribute to extending and improving the existing sports pavilion. The current facilities built in 1975, when the ground was used by 2 senior sides, are no longer suitable now that 3 junior teams have been developed, the ground made available to other sports and schools and is in use much of the week for practice, coaching and matches.
The extension will incorporate a new kitchen and covered viewing area, extension of away team changing facilities and a disabled toilet. Existing storage is too restricted and extension plans incorporate a larger store.
