SCRUTON STATION SERVICE PLATFORM – £22,280

Project will provide  a platform at the station enabling local residents to use the railway to access local market towns, currently trains pass through the station but are unable to stop.  Schools will be able to visit the educational facility at the restored station. The station is the only surviving example of a North Eastern Railway station and its restoration was recognised by the National Heritage Railway Award, as being the best UK railway heritage restoration in 2015.
