Case Studies
Yorventure has invested almost £7 million in more than 250 projects in York and North Yorkshire and now supports projects in Northern Bradford through tax credits received by Bradford Metropolitan District Council generated by the Yorwaste landfill site at Skipton.
Since Yorventure was first established in 1997, grants have been distributed to a variety of different community and environmental projects; here are just a few examples:

A £15,000 Yorventure grant funded the purchase of a privately owned wood in Acomb, near York, located within 5 miles of the Yorwaste landfill site at Harewood Whin.

In January 2002, Folkton and Flixton Playing Fields Association were awarded a £15,000 Yorventure grant towards the provision of a new children’s play area, located within 5 miles of the Yorwaste landfill site at Seamer Carr.
